Mission and Values

Brookline for Everyone is a grassroots organization of Brookline residents who want Brookline to be economically thriving, environmentally sustainable and racially inclusive.

Brookline needs more housing — affordable housing, subsidized housing, work-force housing, and market rate housing. To achieve those goals, Brookline for Everyone believes Brookline must change its zoning by-laws to encourage the creation of complete, walkable neighborhoods with mixed-use and multi family homes near public transit for all income levels.

We believe Brookline is for Everyone

- For young adults who want to live where they were raised.
- For empty nesters who want to stay in Brookline but want to downsize.
- For people just starting families and families who need room to grow.
- For our seniors who live independently or who need supportive services.
- For people who need accessible homes and single floor living.
- For people who are struggling to stay in their homes because the costs of living in Brookline are getting prohibitive.
- For our teachers and other city employees, and the workers in our local businesses, so they can fully participate in the community they serve.
