Imagine a Brookline

Imagine a Brookline...

where neighborhoods are bustling, connected and sustainable, and we can all afford to live, work, shop and have fun.

We believe Brookline can be a thriving, diverse, and resilient community where multi-generation Brookline families as well as newcomers can afford to make Brookline their home. By encouraging mixed-use, residential, and commercial development near public transit, Brookline can add more homes at more affordable price points; increase new tax revenue to fund our great schools, parks, and public services; and support our climate goals.

Abundant Affordable Homes

The heartbeat of our community is our homes. And our homes — where we begin our days and where we come to play, rest and rejuvenate — are central to the health and well-being of our community.

Towards A Thriving Ecosystem

Abundant and affordable homes and businesses near public transportation are the keystone to a healthy economic ecosystem in Brookline. And our homes—where we build them and how we live in them—impact Brookline’s ability to be more sustainable, economically viable, and equitable.

Our Plan

To keep Brookline a fiscally sound, climate resilient, and inclusive community, Brookline needs to invest in its future by voting YES for the operating override. At the same time, to increase new revenue and reduce the size of future overrides, permit new walkable neighborhood development along Route 9 by electing leaders who will vote to upgrade the Chestnut Hill Commercial Area.
