Brookline Town Elections are Tuesday, May 5th. This is a very important election. Voter turnout will be high. Your vote will determine Brookline's future!
Our endorsed candidates understand the need for Brookline to allow more housing units; support proposals to increase low-income housing; and recognize the connections between housing, economic development, climate change, racial justice, and transportation.
Brookline has 5 Select Board Members who serve 3 year terms. This year you can vote for two candidates. Town Meeting has 255 members, 15 per each of 17 precincts. Every year you can vote for 5 Town Meeting Members, each for 3 year terms. If a Town Meeting Member leaves before the end of their term, you will also be able to vote for candidates for a one year or two year term.

Amanda Zimmerman has a proven track record of civic leadership leading to real solutions. As a Town Meeting Member, member of the Bicycle Advisory Board, and co-founder of Brookline for Everyone, she has been at the forefront of efforts to expand housing opportunities, advance climate-forward planning, and build a more inclusive community. Professionally, Amanda is a scientist who brings experience in policy and strategy that allows her to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions. She has consistently demonstrated the ability to build coalitions, engage thoughtfully with community concerns, and move from planning to implementation, which is exactly what Brookline needs right now.
Anthony Buono brings a data-driven approach rooted in his background in mathematics, statistics, and policy analysis. He is an active Town Meeting Member and serves on the Advisory Committee where he has worked on detailed budget and financial issues. As a recent President of the Town Meeting Members Association, Anthony worked to build a culture of collaboration and strengthen Town Meeting as an institution. Anthony understands that without strategic residential and commercial growth, the town will face increasingly difficult tradeoffs. His emphasis on evidence, long-term financial sustainability and accountable governance will bring an important perspective to the Select Board.
