Brookline Town Elections are Tuesday, May 6th

This May, Brookline has a huge opportunity to elect a new Select Board member to an open seat and elect Town Meeting members who are strong supporters of dense housing near transit. This will create walkable neighborhoods, reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and foster economic development that will fund our public schools and town services.

Select Board

Brookline for Everyone unanimously endorses Michael Rubenstein for Select Board. Michael Rubenstein is the only candidate in the race equipped to solve our housing, climate, and revenue crises.

All three candidates are currently Town Meeting members, but only Michael has a proven track record of effectively advancing our shared policy goals. As a member of our legislative body, Michael distinguished himself by leading the Yes! in Brookline coalition that organized town-wide support to pass meaningful compliance with the MBTA Communities Act in November 2023. This law helped Brookline avoid costly lawsuits and loss of state funding.

He has the experience and acumen to address our town's fiscal challenges, and the shared values of an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming community that makes space for everyone.

Town Meeting

For Town Meeting we're incredibly proud to endorse 69 fantastic, diverse candidates from all 17 precincts. Our endorsees include dozens of first-time candidates looking to make a difference alongside long-serving pro-housing incumbents. They are renters and owners, students and parents, professionals and retirees.

What brings them all together?
A shared commitment to increasing housing affordability; tackling the climate crisis; supporting a welcoming and diverse community; ensuring Brookline's schools continue to support our students' path towards educational excellence; and forging a creative and robust approach to economic development to help fund the vital services and community needs Town residents rely on.
